Kona has been our go-to destination for Ironman training and vacations, with Kona Reef Resort always being our top choice. After years of searching, we finally found the perfect place to call our vacation home.

Nestled below the tourist hotspots of Oahu and Maui, Kailua-Kona on the Big Island is a hidden gem of the Hawaiian islands. The charming seaside town offers a blend of sweet tropical flowers and crisp ocean spray, making it a unique experience.

Year after year, we always returned to Kona for Ironman training/racing and vacations, with Kona Reef Resort as our first choice. After many years of searching, we finally found the perfect place to call our vacation home. Now that we are retired from racing, Alex enjoys golfing at the many beautiful courses available. I play pickleball at a beautiful facility that caters to all levels. During our downtime we enjoy the beautiful beaches, hiking, snorkeling, swimming and eating the local cuisine.
